Renowned sculptor Isamu Noguchi (1904-88) worked in a large range of materials. The everyday objects he created are sculptural and often, as with this tea spoon, combine formal elements of eastern art with western functionality. The spoon was likely designed around the same time as his tea cup, which is also carried by The Wolfsonian Museum Shop, as is his knife and fork.
